Congratulations on purchasing version 5 of Wordwrite, one of the most complex word processing programs available. We have replaced the comprehensive manual that came with previous versions of Wordwrite with this simple one page fact sheet. Instructions are now included as an online guide with the program. Just enter the keyword for the topic with which you require help. If you are unsure of what keyword to use, you can simply scroll down the list of 2536 topics to find one that fits. If you require further assistance, you can call our toll number (2.99/min) to speak with one of our technical team members who are available between the hours of 5:45 AM PST and a 9:15 AM EST.
Much has changed with this upgrade of Wordwrite. We took into account the thousands of suggestions users sent to us to improve this program. None of them fit into our plans but we are confident you will enjoy all the new features of Wordwrite 5. Now you can create everything from a simple text document to a multimedia file merging text, graphics, audio, video, animation, voice recognition, virtual reality, HTML, hypertext and some forms of artificial intelligence that can be saved, compressed, encoded or encrypted into over 700 formats. You'll wonder how you got along with out these capabilities.
Based upon our past experience with extensive beta testing, we concluded that we would not burden those people with this version. As a result, there may be some minor bugs that could cause your hard drive to freeze up. If you receive a "fatal error" message while using Wordwrite please disregard the sentence that urges you to contact the program's vendor for further assistance. We contend it's a problem with Windows and suggest you call Microsoft. If they erroneously claim that the fault lies with Wordwrite, tell them they should author an operating system hat isn't so intolerant.
After starting Wordwrite 5., you will immediately notice that the program has a completely new interface that bears no resemblance to previous versions. While this may be create minor confusion for those have used Wordwrite for the past ten years, we believe that within a few short months you will be working with the same speed and efficiency with which you are accustomed. We have replaced the familiar function icons on the menu bar at the top of the program with a new set of symbols based upon Hieroglyphics. We thought this gave Wordwrite a cool "retro" look and hope this might provide us an edge with a prestigious design award for which we've been angling for years.
Of important note in the file menu, the "delete" function now appears in the previous location of the "save" function. Adjusting to this change from the start will eliminate the unnecessary deletion of documents. The save function now appears under the Egyptian sparrow icon which brings up an additional menu providing you a choice of new file formats. None of these formats are compatible with any of the earlier versions of Wordwrite. If you wish to save your file for earlier versions you will have to download a convertor file from our web site. This converter is available for the low price of .99 It should not take any longer than 2 1/2 to 3 hours to obtain the complete file. Viewing the instructions requires a plug-in for which we provide a link to download and configure your web browser.
Due to the hundreds of new features we have added to Wordwrite, space limitations on the CD-ROM which contains this program forced us to eliminate the Thesaurus. However, we felt that the majority of users prefer to stick with words with which they are familiar and therefore do not believe this will create much of an inconvenience.
Installation of Wordwrite 5. has now been simplified with our new "Software Shaman" who will guide you through the process. We have eliminated the potential for a lack of sufficient space on your hard drive by having the Shaman first delete other programs if necessary until the 540 mb required for this version of Wordwrite are available. There is an option to install a "no frills" version of this program that only requires 679 mb of disk space, however you will not be able to use the italicized version of the EgyptoGothic Burnarand Hemlich font.
We trust you will find this upgrade of the popular Wordwrite word processing program to be a great advancement and hope that you will eventually find that it boosts your productivity at work. We are already diligently developing the next upgrade.
