This Graphical OS is designed for workstations at home. Windows Me is the follow on to Windows 98, but targeted primarily at the home user. Windows ME adds new features such as digital movie editing, improved digital media manipulation and organization, better music player, improved stability and recovery, easy home networking. In addition, Windows Me includes Internet Explorer 5.5 (also available as a free download).
MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR WINDOWS ME
Processor - Pentium or equivalent, 150 MHz or higher
Memory - 32 mb of RAM
Hard Drive Space - 320 mb to 420 mb depending on configuration selected
Display - VGA or higher
Peripheral - Microsoft Mouse or compatible
Modem - Minimum supported 28.8 or higher baud rate.
For Movie Maker - 300 MHz processor, Pentium II or equivalent, 64 mb of RAM, 2 GB of free hard disk space for video.
Other hardware is required for DVD, Broadcast and Web Reception, Internet Connection Sharing and Windows Media Player
How to find Product ID in Windows ME Registry
First Click on Start/Run/ and type "REGEDIT" now do the following to find the present Product Key for windows ME installation.
Click,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > MICROSOFT > WINDOWS > CURRENT VERSION (make sure this is highlighted)
the Product ID will be listed beside product key
This is useful if you lost you Certificate of Authenticity, but already have windows on your system.
